I hope all of you baseball fans got a chance to catch the 2022 Home Run Derby last night! It was great. So how did it shake out? Let’s take a look at the competitors:

  • No. 1 Kyle Schwarber vs. No. 8 Albert Pujols
  • No. 2 Pete Alonso vs. No. 7 Ronald Acuña Jr.
  • No. 3 Corey Seager vs. No. 6 Julio Rodriguez
  • No. 4 Juan Soto vs. No. 5 José Ramírez

In the first round Kyle Schwarber lost to Albert Pujols 19 homeruns to 20. Ronald Acuña Jr. lost out to Pete Alonso 19 to 20. Cory Seager felt the sting as he lost out to Julio Rodriguez 24 to 32. And, finally, José Ramírez lost to Juan Soto 17 to 18.

In the second round Pujols took second Juan Soto at 15 to 16. Rodriguez crushed it with a 31 to 23 victory over Alonso.

In the Final Round, it was Soto over Rodriguez 19 to 18 with the farthest ball hit at 471 feet at a rocketing 111 miles per hour!

It reminded me of my old playing days.
